If you're looking for therapy, we already have something in common. As someone who's had on/off therapy throughout my life, I understand what it's like to be in the client's seat. My own experiences with mental health, trauma, and therapy have fueled my drive to give others a down-to-earth, validating, and practical therapy experience. I know it feels weird to open up to a stranger, and initial sessions can feel a little weird for me, too, but it only gets easier from session one. Together, we can discuss your concerns, process emotions, review coping skills, dig deeper, and hopefully share some laughs along the way!
I offer a person-centered approach that provides unconditional positive regard in a judgment-free environment. My counseling style tends to be more of a flowing conversation with discussion of coping skills and new insights peppered in. I mostly draw upon CBT and ACT principles. Colorful language and dark humor are welcome in my office!
