I work with clients to help them tap into their own inner wisdom, to recognize and build upon their strengths, to propel themselves beyond behaviors and feelings about themselves that limit growth and expression, to become their authentic and best selves. Experience has taught me that deep connection to one's full range of emotion is key to lasting change---confusion becomes clarity, self-criticism is transformed by self-compassion, reactivity yields to soothing self-regulation, isolation is replaced with a sense of belonging and life can be lived to its fullest.
I tailor my approach to meet my client's preferences and needs. I have experience in several emotion-focused and somatic approaches as well as couple's therapy and cognitive therapy. I have training in Dynamic Emotion Focused Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EFT for Couples, Gottman Method, Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) and ACT.
I recognize that making difficult changes and pursuing dreams takes courage. I strive to meet my clients in my active focus and risk taking as an advocate for their desires.
