I am a trained IFS therapist specializing in trauma and relationships. I am committed to creating a soft and authentic space for my clients to get to know their inner systems. I have a graduate degree in Social Work, and I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I have been engaged with IFS for over ten years, and it is the primary model I use for psychotherapeutic work. I have assisted as a staff member on four IFS trainings to help other therapists learn the model. I also trained in an oncology practice with patients and their families, so I have particular experience supporting people going through illness and physical pain.
I incorporate Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, and 12-step informed practice into my work. I have over thirteen years’ experience working with folks who have experienced codependency, substance use disorders, and process addictions, including relationship and sex addiction.
My approach is highly relational and trauma-informed. I specialize in working with sexual abuse, developmental trauma, and relationships, especially how early injuries can get stuck and show up in the present. I also have a background in literature and the arts, so I love working to help parts that may become blocked in the creative process.
