Everyone has life challenges. The best version of yourself can emerge with effective strategies to cope with distress. I provide hope for individuals and couples who are dealing with complex issues such as grief, relationship struggles, economic pressures, depression, spiritual/religious trauma caused by abuse, and many other stressors. My approach is trauma-informed—I see how past hurts affect the present.
I have worked in several sectors which provide wisdom and insight: education, career counseling, academic advising, and childcare. My experience includes counseling couples, running group therapy, and working with children, adolescents, and individual adults of many backgrounds including special needs, LGBTQ+, and veterans.
Compassion for the whole person includes understanding their strengths, culture, relationships, community, socioeconomic status, values, and unique characteristics.
