About
Bridges Community Support Services has a history of expertise supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through counseling. We also support neurotypical individuals who have a variety of stressors and mental health issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD and more. Our clients range in age from children to older adults. Each client is assured to find the perfect match with one of our 11 wonderful therapists. Our therapists are trained in a variety of treatment modalities, and we offer day, night and weekend availability.
Bridges Community Support Services offers affordable counseling by experienced licensed counselors, both LCSW and LPC. We have immediate openings for individuals who have Medicare, Medicaid, Anthem, United Health Care, and more, and we offer a sliding scale fee for those who prefer to private pay.
Bridges began as a counseling provider in 1984 and four years later became the first organization in Missouri to offer (ISL) Individualized Supported Living services. Through our services, projects and relationships we are committed to building opportunities that promote each person's unfolding individuality.

Bridges Community Support Services's Groups
Skills System
The Skills System is a 12-week group that teaches participants how to regulate their emotions, stay on track to their goals, have healthy relationships, and stay safe when they feel at risk. Participants learn how to notice how BIG their emotions are and then how to use the right coping skills to calm down. Groups meet on Thursdays at 11am.
