Welcome. I’m glad you found me. I’m Brian, a therapist at Marguerita Blaker and Associates. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families across North Carolina. You might feel stuck. You can’t keep going the same way, but you don’t know what comes next. You may be facing a major life transition, questioning your identity, struggling to find purpose, or dealing with pain from the past. You might feel stressed, overwhelmed, out of place, or restless in your own skin. You want to trust yourself, feel more hope, live with more freedom, enjoy life, and build a future that lines up with what you believe in.
Narrative therapy is the foundation of my work. We’ll get curious about the stories shaping your life, where they came from, and how they may be limiting or expanding your freedom. Sessions are creative and collaborative. We’ll go deep and find hope together. When helpful, I use somatic (body-focused) approaches to help with emotions and unresolved trauma.
Starting therapy isn’t easy. Talking about personal issues can feel uncomfortable and stir strong emotions or memories. Over time, therapy can be helpful, giving you space to make sense of what you’re dealing with and move forward differently. We’ll work toward more trust in yourself. I welcome queer and transgender clients and people of all races.
