If you have low self -esteem, social anxiety or feel held back or unable to shake negative beliefs you have about yourself, this is very likely due to abuse, neglect, or humiliations you endured, often over the course of years. If you are tired of this interfering with your life and would like to build self-confidence, if you would like to feel comfortable in your own skin and work toward reaching your potential, I believe I can help. I can't make promises, but because I have seen many clients succeed, I believe, wholeheartedly, we could make this happen for you.
I specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, and long-term low grade depression. I mainly use EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am an EMDR Certified Therapist, and a IFS Level 2 trained therapist; I also use other treatment options if they are better suited for you. I start with a comprehensive assessment and together, design an action plan.
I work with adults who have experienced complex trauma and I have experience working with members of the gay/queer community to address the trauma faced by growing up in a straight person's world.
