Talking to Youth for Adults
Two-part sessions are geared toward parents and adults who work with kids of all ages: Helping Children Deal With Their Feelings Ways to help children cope with their negative feelings - anger, envy, etc. Engaging Cooperation Invite cooperation without threats, warnings, etc. Alternative to Punishment Ways to express strong disapproval as well as encourage responsibility for behavior Encouraging Autonomy Skills to help children be responsible individuals who can one day function on their own Praise Help children become aware of their strengths Free Children From Playing Roles Children are sometimes cast into roles (bully, whiner, etc.) - freedom from roles.
Parenting/Adult Communication Seminar (PACS)
PACS runs monthly to address the difficult communication and dynamics between parents and their children. This also foster skills between adults that have trouble navigating the waters of effective communication with peers and natural supports.
Transition from Teen to Adult
This group runs for 2 week period to assist teens in transitioning to adulthood. Sessions will cover character building, effective communication, & navigating self-awareness. This workshop also complements the "Building Better Relationship" Workshop.
