Most of the time we are able to meet life's challenges using our natural resources of life experience and supportive relationships. Sometimes more specialized help is needed. There may be patterns of behaviors or relationships that one feels stuck in, or fated to repeat over and over. In those instances I feel I offer a warm, steady, and skillfull hand in understanding the root causes of these distressing patterns, and guidance in how to be free of them...finally.
My practice is fairly evenly allocated between individual psychotherapy, and couples treatment. I work with a broad range of people that come with a variety of problems and disorders, and varied levels of distress.
I help clients to look with fresh eyes at their familiar emotional experience, to differentiate between that which is healthy and that which is not, and to find their path forward.
