Authenticity is hard. Men and families are my specialty. It's never too late and you're never too old to walk toward change. As an AMHC, I offer a secure, non-judgmental space for addressing issues like depression, anxiety, marriage & relational conflict, trauma/sexual abuse and PTSD. Most men only seek therapy if there is a crisis. Many men have experienced lack of connection with their fathers left with a feeling of being "Fatherless Men." As a result, men struggle with trust and have difficulty with relationships, specifically healthy romantic attachments. Whatever your story, it's time for a new direction, called change.
As a Mental Health Counselor, EMDR Trauma Professional and Addiction Therapist, I collaborate with you creating your treatment goals. It's a new day and more men are smashing the stigma by attacking their feelings of distress with therapy. Come build your distress tolerance, emotional maturity creating resilience like you've never experienced.
The manliest thing I ever did was begin therapy after working in my profession as a young counselor in a group home. I overcame the stigma. It was hard. I connected with other men in group therapy, developed tools and new resources. My goal is to help men like you break-through the stigma, and begin your walk on this life changing mental health journey.

I work with men and couples who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships, created families or family of origin. The 1st session we are strategic in identifying the structural organization in the family system. Once identified we modify dysfunctional patterns of interaction that contribute to family/individual issues. The goal is to decrease symptoms of distress.

I often use EMDR, DBT, TICBT, Family Systems and Attachment-based therapy treatment modalities. We address "what happened" that triggered the mental health struggles you are experiencing. Once identified we explore best interventions. By re-writing your story and re-framing negative cognitions clients experience a decrease in symptoms and increase in emotional regulation and resilience.
