I am a Licensed, Psychologist (Clinical) with over twenty-five years of experience in treating individuals with various problems in living. It is clear that each client's problems are unique and deserve personal and careful assessment. Subsequent treatment should be supportive and paced accordingly. Clients present because they want something to change and this is the goal of most therapy. It is particularly important to take the mystery out of mental health and this is always achieved.
In my practice, great care is taken so that assessment and treatment strategies are individualized to each client. Treatment plans are change and goal oriented based on the aspirations and motivations of the individual/family. For behavioral/mental health, it is clear that one size does not fit all.
I have been a Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Science, University of South Carolina Medical School, since 1994. I have served on the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Psychology and have supervised a number of other mental health professionals.
