My clinical practice focuses on adults and adolescents aged 14 and up. I work with a variety of presenting issues but specialize and enjoy working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, healing from historical trauma, couple’s therapy, and helping clients understand the mental health link that is common in people who are experiencing chronic physical pain.
I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, motivational interviewing, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and transformational therapeutic approaches tailored to a client’s presenting problems and their inherent skills that will best match their needs and provide the opportunity for a successful therapeutic outcome.
My approach to therapy includes stabilizing the immediate presenting problem while exploring a client’s symptoms, life narrative, family history, and patterns of behavior that have repeated in their lives.
