Over 40 years of experience in social services beginning with my first position as an investigator/caseworker for IDCFS to my current practice as Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I specialize in cognitive assessment, whether for school based issues (e.g. ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders) as well as cognitive assessment of memory disorders caused by aging, illness or trauma. I also conduct compensation and pension evaluation for veterans applying for disability as well as cognitive processing treatment for PTSD. I see individuals, couples and families primarily using a cognitive behavioral therapy approach.
Additionally, I hold an active certification as a Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for individuals required to complete USDOT mandated evaluations and treatment. These include individuals in public transportation and safety careers (e.g. trucking, airline, waterway, railway, pipeline and Coast Guard operations.
I also conduct forensic evaluations in multiple areas including issues of Miranda comprehension, fitness to stand trial, sexual offender evaluations and return to work.
