In life, we have to wear different masks. We are a certain person at work. We are a certain person at home. We are a certain person depending upon who we are around. Those masks are necessary to function. They are simply a part of life.
In counseling, we get the awesome opportunity to be honest with ourselves. We get to try on different masks. We get to think about our lives from different perspectives.
I have over twenty-five years of experience helping people view life through different perspectives and try on various masks as they work towards being honest with their selves.
I work collaboratively with clients to identify strategies for meeting their needs. I carefully consider approaches and interventions that are proven to help the issues that clients face. I seek to enter the world of clients with whom I work regardless of their religious, gender, sexual, and cultural identities.
My particular areas of interest include: anxiety, self-compassion, and trauma. I am able to work with clients who are looking for in-network insurance providers. I am an in-network provider for a wide range of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare.
