If you're living with a disability, chronic illness, or rare condition, you already know that most of the world wasn't built with you in mind. Unfortunately, that also includes a lot of therapy spaces. I specialize in working with people who are navigating the emotional weight of these experiences: the grief that doesn't have a name, the exhaustion of navigating oppressive systems, the complicated relationship with your body, and the ways that an ableist culture can leave deep marks. As someone with lived experience of disability, I bring both personal understanding and clinical expertise to this work.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and affirming. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Feminist frameworks, and Art Therapy, adapting to what each person actually needs rather than fitting you into a method. Art therapy in particular can be a powerful tool when words alone feel insufficient to process your experiences.
I also believe that much of the distress my clients carry isn't just personal, but systemic. Ableism, medical trauma, and the compounding weight of oppressive systems are real, and I hold space for that alongside what is uniquely and deeply yours.
If you're ready for a space where you don't have to shrink, explain, or perform "okayness," I'd love to connect.
