Often times the stresses of life, relationships, job pressures, traumas, and losses make us forget how to play, how to explore, and seek growth. I believe you are the expert on you. In counseling I will focus on helping you increase awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Using mindfulness, and a contemplative approach to help you understand your goals and determine a path to get there. Each person is different thus my counseling approach will be individualized and tailored to your needs.
Children naturally communicate through play. By utilizing play therapy the child can express and explore their feelings, to make sense of difficult life experiences or complex psychological issues through the activity of play. Common issues include: trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, social skills, and school concerns.
