Therapy is a transformational space. Whether there are clear obstacles to your mental health or you are curious to know yourself more fully, my hope is for you to view yourself with self-compassion and see your life context with more self-awareness. I greatly value the therapeutic relationship as a safe place to explore yourself and better understand your relational style. Exploring how family and culture influence your sense of self and the world are also important tools of self-discovery. In my approach, I collaboratively establish goals and expectations for our work together and am transparent about my methods and decisions.
As a therapist who has just transitioned from working at university counseling centers (most recently at the University of Oregon), I have a strong foundation for working across cultures and with people of diverse backgrounds. I enjoy working with relationship and family concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and academic/career struggles.
