I’ve overcome challenges, setbacks, failures, deaths, etc. I try to use my life experiences, when appropriate, as well as my professional experience of about 20 years spent in multiple human service fields. Areas of specialization: caregiver burnout, geriatric issues, depression, anxiety, stress management, dementia/Alzheimer's (certified trainer of care providers), ADD/ADHD, young adults feeling lost, special needs, grief and loss, chronic health challenges, marital/family issues, etc.
I work with individuals in crisis, stressed, anxious, depressed, overworked, struggling with family or personal issues, struggling with relationships or children, health issues etc., but some populations I feel are under-served or misunderstood are Caregivers and Adults with ADD/ADHD (often misdiagnosed to treat the symptoms- depression, anxiety, etc).
Caregivers are family members/spouses/friends, or anyone who provides care for the elderly, disabled, chronic illnesses, etc. Caregiver burnout can be very dangerous, and often leads to serious health issues. (With Dementia/Alzheimer's- family education, home setup, etc). Adults with ADD/ADHD- I teach coping techniques, practical daily life changes, etc.
