Putting thoughts and emotions into words can have surprising and powerful results. There is a freedom in saying out loud what we have withheld or only said or ourselves. We begin to see our world from new perspectives, develop new ways of being in the world, and begin to make new choices. The purpose of a therapist is to be the person in your life undergoing this process with you, as a companion and guide. This is how I understand my work.
I see patients from a variety of backgrounds and diverse struggles. I have experience with the LGBTQ+ community, college students, artists, and a various professions. Through my years of practice I've worked with depression, anxiety, psychotic symptoms, stress and body dysmorphia, in addition to other issues.
As a licensed psychoanalyst and graduate of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, I work with each patient based on their individual needs as the relationship develops. I do not charge for consultations that do not result in our continuing to work together. My fee can be flexible to accommodate a variety of financial circumstances and backgrounds.
