To change or not to change? One of the most frustratingly human experiences in life is wanting to change for the better only to find yourself repeating the same ineffective patterns and mistakes. This is where counseling can come into play. By understanding your own motivations and the internal barriers getting in the way of change, you can develop new strategies to know yourself better and develop tools to handle the challenges and stressors of life. My practice is strength-based, client-centered, motivational, and grounded in cognitive behavioral ideas.
With a Masters of Counseling Psychology and over fifteen years of experience in outpatient, home-based, residential, and military settings, I have treated clients with with depression, anxiety, trauma and most major mental illnesses. Positive change is always possible and even though we can't always see it, hope never dies.
