Welcome! Now that you have made the courageous decision to seek therapy, your next step is to find the right therapist for you. A positive therapeutic relationship is known to be the best predictor of a successful therapy experience. Warmth, empathy, a skill set based on 20 years of experience and a sense of humor (because that's never a bad thing) are qualities I bring to the treatment room. My style is dynamic and interactive. I work with adults, adolescents, couples and groups. I feel honored to do this work.
My practice is informed by several theoretical models but tailored to the needs of each person. I have a deep interest in helping people overcome trauma and have studied the latest research in the field of neuroscience. I am trained in EMDR, a brain/body based therapy that helps people overcome anxiety and traumatic experiences.
I believe in the capacity of animals to regulate emotions. For those who feel they may want to bring their dog to our sessions, my office suite is very dog friendly. My second therapy dog is currently in training.

Groups
Coed Adult Process Group
I currently lead a process group for adults (ranging in age from 40-70) offering weekly support and an opportunity to process a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions and loss. This group is ongoing and full at the present time but I welcome any inquiries and like to have a waiting list. This a a fantastic way to engage with others dealing with life stressors and is more affordable than individual therapy.
