Sessions are geared toward forward movement through positive rephrasing of thoughts and encouraging behavioral changes through practice and repetition.
Ms. Casey utilizes many aspects of 'mindfulness' including breathing techniques, grounding exercises, and progressive relaxation to help clients self sooth during times of excessive stress, pain or sadness. EMDR is an option for those who feel 'stuck' in a traumatic event.
