Children and adolescents today deal with a host of issues such as coping with stress and anxiety, navigating peer and family relationships, expressing feelings appropriately and managing developmental disorders. Understanding how to best express feelings and control behaviors can lead to improved relationships at school and home and increase self-esteem. I strive to help their children and teens make positive personal and social changes that will benefit them over the course of their lives.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families. As a former school counselor, I have valuable experience in helping children and teens navigate school pressures and peer-related problems as well as helping parents to effectively handle discipline and develop strong and meaningful relationships at home.
My goal is to help my clients meet their personal goals in a caring and positive manner that builds confidence and strengthens families. As a parent, I understand the uniqueness of each child and how children and adolescents develop at their own pace. Groups
Social Skills Groups
My colleagues and I offer Social Skills groups for ages 4 through young adult. We focus on skills such as teamwork, compromise, flexibility, conversation skills and coping with social anxiety. Groups typically meet once a week for one hour. Clients are grouped by age and need. The group rate is $75 per session.
