We are living in an unprecedented and quite frankly, a very scary world, these days. There's so much to deal with on a daily basis. Add in other typical life challenges and we feel overwhelmed, worried, exhausted and drained. Feelings of depression and anxiety have increased in both adults and children. Most children struggle with knowing how to identify their stressors and how to verbalize their feelings. All they know is that their brain feels like it's on fire. They tend to have more meltdowns or shutting down. They get dysregulated and then we get dysregulated and before we know it, we have a power struggle on our hands.
Help and hope are available! For the last 32 years, Brenda has helped children use play to express their thoughts and feelings and learn how to regulate emotions and behavior. She has guided families in learning more effective ways to manage their child's behavior so homes are less stressful using Love and Logic Parenting and TBRI attachment concepts.
Parenting is hard. Families can be difficult. No one wants to feel like a failure as a parent. Brenda is trained in TF-CBT and has worked with children who are ADHD, ODD, anxious, depressed, or have adjustment issues including those in foster or adoptive homes.
