My name is Brenda Gillespie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Belton, Texas. I enjoy working with adolescents, teens, adults, as well as children 8 yrs and up. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health and a Master's degree in Education, with a focus on special education and assessment. I am a retired educator with 32 years of experience, the last seven as a certified Professional School Counselor. I believe healing begins with a single step, and I am here to support you or your child on your journey. We can work together on concerns such as grief, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, parenting, and behavior concerns.

I offer a welcoming and comfortable space where you can feel secure in sharing your thoughts and feelings. I use a variety of approaches tailored to each person's unique needs. Some methods I use are CBT, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

During our first session, my goal is for you to feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. I want to hear your story and for you to feel free to share your concerns and ask questions. We will discuss your goals for counseling, and by the time you leave, I hope you will feel confident, heard, and ready for your next appointment. (Insurance varies per site)

Grief Teen Group

This group will provide a supportive environment where the teens ( ages 13 and 14) can express their grief, connect with peers and learn new coping strategies. There is an A group that meets at 11:00AM-12:00AM and a B Group 6:00PM-7:00PM. The groups begin June 17 and end July 15. They meet every Tuesday. Call Yellow Ribbon Counseling to sign up.
