My name is Brenda De La Cruz and I am an LCSW who has been in the field for over 15 years. I like to give the client the chance to utilize their strengths during treatment along with my own prompts and experience with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and more. I'm a kid at heart and love getting to know my clients and their passions to help them navigate their treatment in a positive way. I like to utilize strength-based, client-centered, motivational interviewing, TF-CBT, CBT modules, and classic talk therapy. I also utilize play and art therapy, as well as incorporating music into sessions as needed or appropriate.
I am very easygoing and like to make my clients comfortable to allow them to open at their own pace. I approach everyone very warmly and like to make my clients laugh when appropriate.
Like many others, I, too, have had my own struggles with life and so have those I love. I came into this field because I love helping others and know what it feels like to struggle with something we sometimes are stigmatized for when talking about it. I want to help others feel empowered to talk about their problems and together work on improving them.
