I see humans as being complex creatures who carry lots of context for their behaviors. Often, harmful dynamics in relationships are a side-effect of old, learned behavior. Whether it be an affair, toxic communication, or fear/apathy around sex, we will put a pin in the frustrating behavior together and instead dig into and heal the causes of the behavior. I am a good fit for you if you are willing to have unhelpful behaviors challenged in safe and constructive ways. My ideal clients are excited to learn about new opportunities for growth and change, while maintaining the parts of your story that bring pride and comfort
I believe working toward relational and sexual satisfaction starts with uncovering the current patterns and dynamics that are showing up in relationship. Together, we will find out where you learned to create these patterns. We will make space to continue patterns that are still desired while challenging and adapting those that are no longer a good fit.
Relationship issues, especially sexual ones, can feel daunting and overwhelming. As a therapist, I will walk the line between challenging stagnation and respecting boundaries for things you are not yet prepared to address. In my therapy room, I strive to create safety, comfort, and a little humor to make change feel exciting and accessible to all my clients.
