Many people decide to come to counseling because they feel stuck. Often, this "stuckness" is based on a belief or value that has been imposed by someone else. Sometimes, we need help to break out of an unhelpful "mold." My goal is to build a unique relationship in your life where I can provide an unbiased, outsiders perspective on the situations and emotions you are dealing with. Life can be good, and life can also be really hard. How do you cope with the hard stuff? I seem to click really well with teens and young adults. I enjoy working with anyone one-on-one and will do my best to provide a safe and accepting environment.
I have been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. I have the ability to weave different modalities together to find what works best for each individual. I can provide talk therapy as well as therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health issues. We can take therapy wherever you need it to go.
Something to know about me is that I love to learn. If I have a client with an issue that I don't know much about, I do what is necessary to learn more. I am also constantly learning more about myself. Recently, I discovered that I'm an emotional empath. What new things can we discover together about you?
