I enjoy working with those either newly diagnosed with ADHD, suspect ADHD or just have found they are less able to mask and are having some issues with Executive functioning. I also welcome those who need a refresher after years of just taking meds and knowing the diagnosis but never having a chance to learn the skills that help with executive functioning. For some diagnosed with Anxiety or Depression for whom meds aren't enough, I will be happy to help with task initiation and emotional control or other executive functions. I also want to encourage building strengths such as creative hobbies or other interests.
Many empathic people find themselves in therapy due to their association with someone with Narcissistic. While I primarily work with those who are Neurodivergent, I also specialize in recognition of and recovery from narcissistic abuse, having had experience with both. I listen, validate, educate, share resources, reframe, and encourage advocacy.
I am open-minded, holistic, rather liberal and Episcopalian (not pushy). I am "person first" in that I meet someone where they are, rather than making them fit in a mold or model. I draw from many areas of study and life. Retired (25 yrs) from Family and Child Services (DHR in Alabama), four years of ADHD Coaching, and three years of online Therapy.
