My name is Brandy Mabin, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) located in Southern California. I have been working in the field for 15 years and have been licensed for 10 years. My approach to therapy is to provide a safe, open, non-judgmental space that facilitates positive change and growth while reinforcing each client's autonomy. I specialize in treating perinatal mood disorders such as postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. I also enjoy working with clients navigating fertility challenges and/or pregnancy loss.
I am very intentional about my treatment approach, ensuring that I am able to meet the client's individualized needs. I use a combination of modalities within treatment, including interpersonal therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness.
I encourage open and transparent communication in sessions while providing a safe, non-judgmental space. I know therapy can be intimidating so I work hard to keep my clients at ease, making sessions feel more like a conversation. I am a direct provider and offer feedback during sessions to help provoke further thought and consideration.
