Hello! My name is Brandon. I'm glad you're considering seeking help for whatever you're going through in life right now. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds, working through all sorts of things ranging from depression and anxiety to trauma and grief. I am a Christian, a husband, a father, a classically trained psychotherapist, and a combat veteran, and I believe all these parts of my identity work together to produce who I am as a counselor. All clients seeking help are important to me, but I get a special sense of fulfillment in working with military veterans and first responders.
As a counselor, I take a more eclectic theoretical approach but with strong roots in cognitive behavioral theory. Additionally, I believe the incorporation of the client's spiritual and religious beliefs can be important in counseling, so when appropriate, and with the permission of the client, I like to bring these into the counseling process as well.
We know that one of the biggest predictors of success in therapy is the quality of the therapeutic relationship. It's so important that you find a therapist you feel you can trust!
