My approach utilizes trauma interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), & Internal Family Systems (IFS) in combination with talk therapy and a strong relationship. Trauma can be a single event incident, childhood wounds from neglect and/or abuse, religious trauma, gender identity/LGBTQIA+ trauma and more. Those who suffer from trauma often struggle to control emotions, lack self-regulation, and face difficulties in relationships.
Our work will always proceed at your pace and comfort. I am an eclectic therapist also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), & Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) which can be brought into session as needed.
