My goal in therapy is to create an environment where people can draw on their own inner wisdom to grow, change, and adapt. I see therapy as a very collaborative process and recognize the uniqueness of each individual as the expert of their own experiences.
I've primarily worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, mania, psychosis, and substance use. I come from a trauma-informed perspective and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and will also use Motivational Interviewing, and elements of Compassion Focused Therapy.
I have a particular passion for working with people who hear voices, see visions, have strong beliefs, experience paranoia or intense worry, or other altered states. These experiences are generally referred to as psychosis, and I believe that they’re an understandable response to what are often incredibly difficult life circumstances and events.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp) and worked for 5 years as an individual therapist in a First Episode Psychosis program. If you are interested in learning more about working together, please reach out. I’d be honored to be a part of this chapter of your story.
