My role in the therapeutic process is to help you recognize and maximize those internal and interpersonal skills that you possess, while supporting you in the development of new adaptive techniques and strategies. Through this collaboration, we will work toward a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy, as well as opportunities for growth and acceptance. I treat individuals, couples, and families. My training and experience is founded upon work with diverse populations and a range of clinical issues. Areas of focus include: anxiety, depression, grief, identity, life transitions, LGBTQ individuals and couples, and relationship issues. My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive-behavioral and systems theories, and is tailored to your goals.
In addition to client work, as adjunct faculty at Northwestern and Adler universities, I provide clinical supervision to masters-level couple and family therapy trainees. I am also completing a doctoral degree, focusing on the impacts of cyberbullying on identity development.
