Glad you're here. You may not be in the best mood, relationship, or situation, and you might be trying to help a loved one find a therapist; whatever it is - you are in the right place. My theoretical approach is always client-centered with an ecclectic treatment approach pulling from Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt, and Brainspotting therapies. I love helping people willing to explore hard things - who've had trauma - who are ready for different and want to make the most of it - who understand the importance of being true to yourself while honoring life choices for others - with strength.
With years in codependency recovery and a fair amount of complex trauma myself, I'm driven to help others who are impacted by symptoms associated with both of these issues. I love mentoring, supervising, and teaching graduate level psychology courses (Trauma and Crisis, Theories, Clinical Supervision, and Psychopharmacology) at William Jessup University.
This is my chosen career - a complete shift from securities/finance and years as a singer/musician in my youth. Life experience has prepared me well for this job! I understand the "human condition" and the level of tenacity it takes to learn about it. Nothing is impossible a little at a time - you're not alone - and I'm here to help if you're ready.
