Brainspotting is a way to help someone process through their difficulties with attunement, eye position, bilateral sounds, and body sensations.
Taking a few new clients. In Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer there is the Island of Misfit Toys, filled with playthings that seek love but are rejected because they don’t function like traditional toys. Many people we work with feel the same way. They have beautiful personalities, but for one reason or another they just don’t “fit.” Sometimes that shows up through troubles at work or home. Sometimes people just can’t get out of bed each morning. Whatever your challenge, we want you to know you have a home. At Credo, we’ll help you embrace what is unique in you and navigate what often feels like a foreign world.

I offer powerful and effective techniques that include creative solution based therapies, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Brainspotting, mindfulness based practices, and PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Counseling).
We all are looking to live joyful, empowered lives. Yet when we run into challenges that are confusing and painful, it can create feelings that are hard to navigate. Some of these feelings might include fear, heart-break, shame, loneliness, uncertainty and hopelessness. Within the turmoil of these painful experiences, there is always an opportunity to heal and grow. At the core of every person is a well of goodness and love waiting to be accessed. My approach is to facilitate deep emotional healing, to help others tap into their strengths, move through challenges and restore joyfulness of being.

I use somatic-based practices like Brainspotting to help you make this connection, changing your thoughts and feelings.
Do you have difficulty finding motivation to get out of bed in the mornings? Is it hard to allow yourself to rest and relax? You might even find yourself stuck between these situations without a middle ground. Perhaps you experience poor sleep, flashbacks, jumpiness, or difficulty concentrating? These symptoms can make it difficult to function. Imagine, for a moment, an alternate universe where you didn’t feel this way. Now, imagine this doesn’t have to be an alternate universe - people can find comfort, peace, and joy in life again! You can learn how to make the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. I use evidence-based

I have advanced training in clinical hypnotherapy, Brainspotting, and tapping which can be powerful interventions particularly for resolving trauma.
I love working with clients who are facing divorce, custody, or other family law issues. As a family lawyer turned therapist, I bring a keen understanding of the legal system to my clinical work with individuals & couples. However, not all of my clients are getting divorced! I also enjoy working with couples who wish to improve their relationships as well as individuals seeking to grow. Many of my clients are lawyers or other professionals who value my ability to analyze issues strategically and understand the challenges of a demanding profession. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, & multicultural counseling traditions, I collaborate with clients to explore their concerns, set goals, & develop a plan for moving forward. My warm, empathic presence combined with my solution-focused approach allows me to provide non-judgmental support as clients tackle life's challenges.

I specialize in healing trauma using Brainspotting, EMDR, IFS, and Neurofeedback.
Your life has brought you to this moment. Uncertain if this is where you are supposed to be, if these feelings will last forever. Struggling with anxiety, you feel hopeless and overwhelmed. Life is not how you pictured it, but you just can’t seem to change the frame. You’ve spent hours, even days searching for answers, someone or something to help understand and resolve pain and grief. Today, you find yourself unable to cope with even the small things. Waking up tired, dragging throughout the day, lying awake at night. Restless, agitated, utterly exhausted. Trauma has you stuck in this chapter, and now is the time to turn the page.

You feel the pressure to be perfect all the time…with food, relationships, your job, your appearance. Maybe you’re tired of stressing out over calories, tearing yourself apart every time you mess up, or feeling like you’re about to crumble at any second. At this point, maybe it’s hard to even remember a time you didn’t feel like this. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to eat out without panicking. You’re ready to find joy in the day-to-day again. Most of all, you’re ready to heal your relationship with your body and yourself. You’re ready for a new “normal,” and I can help you get there.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
