I love to use EMDR and Brainspotting in order to help with past trauma.
Currently only doing telehealth sessions to anyone within the state of Colorado. Trying to find a therapist to fit your needs is overwhelming and can be very stressful. I encourage you to bring you authentic self to therapy. I work with clients who have trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, or just life stressors/like transitions. I love to welcome clients in the LGBTQ+ community and people of color.

At this time, I am moving towards using my Brainspotting skills and Lifespan Integration treatment modality to assist those struggling with past or current traumas.
My ideal client would be someone who has reached the point where they realize that what they have been doing is no longer working. They understand that it is time to be open to and consider the benefits to making positive changes in their life. This person is ready to examine the areas in their life that have become blind spots, and are willing to address those blind spots in a safe, compassionate and fruitful way.

Are you someone who finds him/herself experiencing feelings of dissatisfaction and restlessness? You know something is wrong but you can’t put your finger on it. Maybe you’re children are grown and you realize you’ve lost yourself in the process of raising them and you’re wondering what’s next for you. Are you feeling reckless, lonely, misunderstood, exhausted and easily irritated? You feel like an imposter at times. You feel apathetic toward things that once brought you pleasure and joy. You might even be suffering from symptoms of panic, anxiety, or depression as a result of this uncertain time in your life.

Are you thinking of starting therapy because you struggle with romantic, family or work relationships? Do you find it challenging to address your own needs? People who seek out my services often know these issues exist but want support with moving from knowing to healing and growing. They don't want a therapist who nods their head. They want a therapist who empathizes, provides insights and humbly provides alternative ways to exist in this world.

Are you tired of feeling stressed, worried, anxious and fearful? Does it often feel like nothing will ever change, and you lose hope and find yourself stuck in the same cycle over and over again? You are not sure what to do but know that something has to change? You don't have to go through this alone, and I get that it can be hard to reach out for support.

I use an integrated approach that blends my background in perinatal/maternal mental health and yoga with the brain-body centered technique of Brainspotting that works to heal emotional wounds and trauma from the inside out.
Teaching you how to rise and flow on the journey of parenthood is my passion. I help you learn tools to support yourself so that parenting feels connected and joyful. My own entry into motherhood was a journey in itself—miscarriage, medical complications and postpartum anxiety. It was this experience that inspired me to work with others on their journey of parenthood. I'll work with you to manage challenges, build greater awareness of thoughts and feelings and improve balance in your life. I love to take an individualized approach to therapy based on your needs, and I see myself as a guide along a journey where you are the expert.

Through the use of brainspotting I help client go beyond talk therapy and address the part of the brain where our experiences that shape us live.
Mixed emotions. Difficulty regulating your feelings and thoughts. Wondering how your life ended up like this? Being curious about your life and how to change it is the first step in your mental health journey.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
