Have you been told you are oversensitive? Too emotional? Ask too many questions? Never really fit other people's expectations? Is parenting your own ND/highly sensitive kid putting you in overwhelm? You are not broken or too much! I provide support and guidance to neurodivergent and other highly sensitive people in an affirming model. We will work together to clarify who you are and what you need, reduce emotional agitation, and establish firm, clear, & loving boundaries for real self-care.
In addition to talk therapy based in cognitive and relational therapies, I offer Brainspotting - a somatic approach derived from EMDR - to process trauma, reduce fears, & lessen that feeling of anxious urgency that pushes you to fight/flight/freeze. Somatic therapies like these have been shown to be particularly supportive for highly sensitive people.
I'm a recovering gifted kid, former software professional, and neurodivergent parent to two 2E+ kids. I am explicitly LGBTQi+ and ENM-affirming, and believe that you know who you are & what you need better than anyone else. I want to support you in sharing your authentic self in the world.

A 6 wk online education & parent support class held online via Zoom, and covers: why our kids behave the way they do understanding masking, demand avoidance, rejection sensitivity, sensory overload, & common mood issues, setting responsive boundaries & improving collaboration, dealing with common relationship issues (siblings, parents), and celebrating our kids' strengths in a world that can be overwhelming for them
