I'm Jim Hale. At Brain & Life Renewal Center, I am 1 of 4 BCIA Certified Practitioners in the Oklahoma City area. Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback that takes electrical impulses from the brain and creates a unique therapeutic protocol, based on the data received, to improve brain function. We can detect subtle electrical impulses from the brain by placing an electrode cap on the head. These electrical impulses are amplified, giving the Neurofeedback monitor the information needed to generate an individualized training program.
Then, it is simply a matter of the brain “training." Neurofeedback training is an “exercise for the brain.” Just like exercise strengthens muscles. Neurofeedback uses operant conditioning to strengthen specific areas of brain function – in the exact areas and ways that we have determined could be functioning better from your brain map.
What I've come to learn most from my clients is that I'm not an expert on your life. You know your life better than I ever could. Rather than telling you what you should or shouldn't do, I get the honor of walking with you for a short time, side by side, on your life journey. What a privilege for me!
