I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship where your goals are prioritized and your values and identities are respected and affirmed. I work with clients who are struggling with a range of mental health challenges, and I have advanced training and experience in treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD. We'll work together to identify potential root causes of your current struggles (for example, past or ongoing trauma or certain patterns of thinking and behaving), develop personalized goals, and implement a plan tailored to your situation.
I primarily utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach that is heavily influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The methods I use tend to be supported by extensive research, and we'll decide together which one(s) might work best for you. We'll measure and discuss progress throughout treatment so that we can make adjustments if we need to.
Choosing a therapist can be an overwhelming process. I hope this information helps you decide if we might be a good fit. If you’re interested in working with me, please reach out—together, we can start the process of moving you toward your goals.
