About
I am a licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alaska and have been doing direct care counseling and therapy since 2008. I have had the privilege of being able to work with a variety of clients, age groups and client issues in multiple settings. I have worked both in residential and outpatient centers and I currently operate Lighted Path Therapy Services in Wasilla. I work with adults, teens and kids ages 4 and up. We bill most insurances and I am in network with Blue cross and Tricare. There is also a 25% discount for cash pay clients.
I use a variety of approaches to counseling. I employ traditional uses of empathy, attunement and guided reflection with clients in order to help them gain insight, explore and develop solutions to their struggles. I am EMDR trained which is one of the most effective methods for treating trauma.
