Hello, I am Dr. Bracha Loren, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and have been successfully helping individuals and couples with relational and self-esteem issues for over 20 years. I hope to be of help to you too. I typically work with functioning individuals who encounter difficulties asserting and/or expressing themselves appropriately in social situations or at the workplace. I have been helping countless clients who experience anxiety and depression as well. I also help pre-marital and/or cohabitating couples (of all types) improve their relationships with the intent to bring about harmony.
I have published a book about relationships amongst In-Laws which has been helpful to many families according to the feedback I have been receiving from readers: "In-Laws and All: A Survival Guide." My main approach while working with clients is cognitive behavioral therapy, using family systems theories where applicable.
It is very important for me that my clients feel safe with me, trusting and not judged. My personality allows for people to feel comfortable with me and open up freely. I am an optimistic person with a positive outlook on life, believing in developing positive thinking, which is helpful in building hope. I often use humor, when appropriate.
