Most of my clients are simply looking for a therapist to walk through a difficult stage of life with them, and I consider it an honor to be given that opportunity. I specialize in the treatment of relationships, depression, anxiety, emotional/physical/sexual trauma, addictions and PTSD. I also have a great deal of experience working with those with Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and grief/loss. I work with adult individuals, teens and families. I am an ally of the LGBT+ community, and work with individuals in any type of relationship.

I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in treatment for children and adolescents (including young adults up to age 25) and their families, especially regarding trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and mood disorders. I have an extensive history of working with issues related to history of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, OCD, and issues related to abuse, death, and divorce. My primary objective is to improve family functioning and overall quality of life. I am passionate about helping individuals and families work toward their vision of cohesion and happiness.

I started my career working in a hospital setting. I provided brief therapy to patients both in the hospital, and in their homes. I have experience working with individuals across a variety of ages and diagnoses; most recently, adults and adolescents diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, BPD, substance use, and mood disorders. In my practice, I utilize a number of techniques, including CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing.

Under supervision: Ann Revard, LCSW-S. I assess how motivated they are for treatment. This gives a better understanding of the individual, their needs and goals, and their palpable eagerness to do "the work." Clients that I work with are generally committed to the process. They are openminded, willing, honest, introspective, and determined. These characteristics start to show up, or become stronger each week, as the client begins to trust me, and ultimately themselves, with their healing journey. Each client is unique and every journey is different. I will always follow the lead of my client and let them set the pace of progress.

My passion is helping people break free from substance abuse and addiction. There's no judgment here, just a compassionate space for you to reclaim your life, kick addiction to the curb, and find lasting recovery. I will help you manage the here-and-now of your struggles with drugs or alcohol, but we'll also work on healing any issues, like trauma, that could be contributing to your use so that you can start to live a more joy-filled, meaningful life. I work under the motto, "The sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while its here is up to us..." I fully believe in journeying with my clients through treatment. I truly enjoy working with my clients on the variety of life's ups and downs. Generally, most of my work is with adults; however, I also see adolescents beginning at 16-years-old. Over the years, I have worked with depression, anxiety, trauma, and some of the more severe mental health problems. My other experience includes working with self-harm and suicidal behaviors, as well as behavior management.
