I love being a counselor and empowering clients to create a life full of meaning and joy. My approach is very client-centered and I am focused on helping clients recognize their own strengths and develop the coping skills needed toward healthier relationships with themselves and others. I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, anger and relationship issues. About me: She/Her. In 2015 I graduated with a Masters Degree in Counseling from Western Illinois University and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Missouri.
I am also certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional. I use many approaches to therapy such as existential therapy techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and DBT. I love working with clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and I appreciate the unique and diverse lives each of my clients lead.
Before this, I worked for three years as an in-home family therapist helping with parenting strategies and children who struggle with different behavioral issues. Currently I am seeing adolescent and adult clients through telehealth.
