I work in an eclectic manner with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, loss, PTSD, at-risk behaviors, relationship issues and life transitions. I offer a supportive and interactive experience for clients, providing the most appropriate modality and pace for each client. For over 30 years, I have enabled teenagers, adults and older adults to master the skills needed to manage emotions and navigate life's challenges. I do assessments to verify people needing "Therapy Pets" for travel and Clinical Assessments for Bariatric Surgery. I offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy as an alternate experiential approach or as an adjunct modality to traditional talk therapy.
I subscribe to a strength based philosophy, helping clients build on their present skills and strengths, exploring patterns that may present obstacles in maintaining stability and reaching goals. Using a solution oriented framework, clients are empowered to modify their thinking and behaviors for lasting change.
I have a home-based practice providing a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Equine Assisted Therapy is offered in Leonia, NJ for addiction, social and developmental issues and veterans and Florida, NY. for personal empowerment, veterans and corporate development. It is a un-mounted modality with horses designed to enable healing and master productive life skills.
