I specialize in working with teens and young adults, ages 15 to 24, who are healing from trauma connected to their bodies and identities. Some of my clients are LGBTQ+ survivors of sexual abuse or relational trauma, looking for a therapist who won't need a crash course on who they are before the real work can start. Others are navigating the aftermath of a chronic illness diagnosis or a life-altering accident, grieving the body or life they had, and figuring out who they are now.
I'm Basic trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and use aspects of CBT and play therapy to process problematic stored body memories and distorted thinking as a result of trauma. What that means practically: you won't be asked to narrate your trauma in detail to make progress.
You’re the expert on your own life; I'm here with tools and training to help you be able to move through the fight, flight, and freeze, into healing.
