My name is Bonnie Galvan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and New Mexico. I have been licensed in social work, chemical dependency and have worked in both fields for 19 years. I focus on person-centered solutions for universal problems as we all need help at some point in our lives. I have worked with adolescents and youth, the homeless population, with victims of domestic and partner violence, HIV/ AIDS patients, couples, the Incarcerated and am comfortable and supportive of the LGBTQI community with appreciation and respect for people of all colors, genders, sexual orientations and nationalities.
I am down to earth and easy to talk to. I focus on the issues at hand at what short-term and long-term solutions can be harnessed to get a positive result. I am direct and focused on a person-centered approach with a reality therapy technique as I believe honesty and being realistic is a good ways to start to feel better.
I work with my clients to first identify the problem and then working together, we set goals and find solutions together. It feels real to work with me, with clarity and directive language. I won’t just sit and listen but will challenge you to find modern-day solutions.
