I'm a clinical health psychologist. I specialize in assisting individuals with chronic illness to live their best lives, despite their diagnosis. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in working with my clients. I like CBT because it is evidence-based and solution-focused. In my experience, it yields faster results than other forms of therapy. I also employ supportive psychotherapy when working with grief and loss issues.
I typically work with clients with chronic medical conditions. I also feel comfortable treating individuals who are struggling with varying degrees of anxiety and depression.
I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment for my clients. I validate the emotions that they are experiencing. Many of my clients have expressed feeling finally understood after working with me.
