Welcome! I'm Bonnie Dupuis, a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) at Clarté Counseling. Whether you're new to therapy or looking for a therapist who feels like the right fit, I'm glad you're here. I work with individuals, couples, and families ages 6 and up navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, LGBTQ+ issues, foster care and adoption experiences, complex trauma, attachment wounds, betrayal, infidelity, and trust repair. As an adoptee, I am especially passionate about supporting conversations around identity, belonging, connection, and the experiences that shape us.
I am EMDR-trained and Gottman Method Level II trained. My approach is eclectic, drawing from EMDR, attachment-based approaches, parts work, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I view therapy through a systemic and multicultural lens. Together, we'll work to understand the patterns that developed to help you survive and explore how they're impacting your life
My style is warm, genuine, and direct. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood, supported, and able to show up as your authentic self. Some days that means compassion and validation. Other days it means being gently challenged. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.
