I enjoy working with individuals who are looking for a safe place to explore their inner life. With over 30 years experience, I am trained in individual and group counseling, trauma work, sexual and domestic violence, and Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS). My style is interactive and empowering and I use humor and laughter to help people gain perspective and find more joy in their lives.
In therapy I help people discover how our struggles are often shaped by things outside ourselves: our families, communities and cultures. Our sessions will help you know yourself more deeply, strengthen parts of yourself that need care, and release beliefs you've carried and no longer need in the present.
It's important that your therapist be a good fit with your current needs and personal style. Be a good consumer and get answers to your questions. I offer an initial telephone screening interview to make sure you and I both feel that my practice is the right place for you at this time.
